Phoenix Residential House
A separate house in Phoenix with room for 10 men, a gym and dietician-designed meals.
PHOENIX, ARIZONA
Help for the man you love. Support for your family.
Guiding Road Recovery Center’s Phoenix office sits at 11402 N Cave Creek Rd, Suite 200, Phoenix, AZ 85020. It’s the clinical office for a small addiction treatment program for men, where care covers co-occurring mental health conditions and families get support of their own.
Whether you’re looking for help yourself or calling about a husband or adult son, the admissions line at (480) 588-2328 is open 24 hours a day. Picking up the phone doesn’t sign anyone up for treatment.

THE PHOENIX OFFICE
This is Guiding Road’s clinical office in Phoenix. Wondering what happens here, or how it fits with our residential house and the Scottsdale location? That’s what the first call is for, so you know what to expect before anything is decided.
Call with what you know, even if it isn’t much. Tell us what’s been happening, what you’ve already tried and what you want treatment to help you work toward. We’ll explain the options from there.
Call with the questions he isn’t ready to ask yet. Figuring out which program fits him is our job, not yours, and we’ll explain assessment, insurance verification and the next steps.
Referring a client? Our team can review his treatment needs, explain the current program options and talk honestly about whether a men’s treatment setting is the right fit.
INSIDE THE OFFICE
It helps to picture a place before you walk in, especially when you’re choosing care, for yourself or for someone you love. Take a look around our Phoenix office, from reception to the quiet rooms where the real conversations happen.
No one lives here. It’s a clinical office, and the places where men stay during treatment have their own pages. If a photo leaves you wondering who uses a room or what happens in it, ask us when you call.

OUR LEADERSHIP
In a small program, nobody is just a name on a schedule. The people who run Guiding Road know every man here personally, including what he’s hoping treatment will help him change. Here are three of them.

Chief Clinical Officer
Karen leads the clinical team, with a background in addiction treatment and a particular interest in how families work as a whole.

Medical Director
Dr. Flatley is Guiding Road’s Medical Director. When you call, ask how he’s involved in care and which medical services come from outside providers.

Founder and CEO
Mark founded Guiding Road. He knows recovery from the inside, has worked in sober living and spent more than two decades in hospitality, and that background shapes the program’s emphasis on community.
WHAT WE TREAT
Guiding Road treats men for alcohol and drug use. If anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms or another mental health concern is part of the picture, it’s treated as part of the same plan.
Care starts with an assessment, and the clinical team builds from there. Depending on each man’s needs, treatment may include cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT-based skills, motivational interviewing, one-on-one therapy and group sessions, with medication management from a psychiatric nurse practitioner when it’s part of his care.
LEVELS OF CARE
Some men need to step away from daily life for a while. Others need structure while work and family pick back up. Guiding Road offers both, plus a step in between. Residential treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care each have a place, and an assessment shows where to start. Some men begin in residential care and step down from there.

Time away from daily routines, in a structured setting. Men live at our Phoenix house in a small group, sharing meals, weekday groups and evening 12-step meetings.

A step down from residential care, with structured treatment days. Ask us how the days are organized, where they take place and whether PHP is the right fit.

For when daily responsibilities start coming back. IOP runs at our Scottsdale location, paired with a supportive house for men who need somewhere to stay.
FOR FAMILIES
You may be ready to ask for help before he is. If his drinking or drug use has you worried about what comes next, you can talk with our admissions team about the treatment options and the support available to you. Nobody expects you to manage his recovery.
If it’s your adult son, you may not know where to start. We can explain how an assessment works, what Guiding Road offers and which questions to ask before you choose a program. Our family program covers:
He’s an adult, so his consent, his clinical team’s advice and his privacy shape how you take part and what you hear. We’ll explain how that works on the first call.

QUESTIONS
Straight answers about the first call, privacy, detox, group sessions and life after treatment. Anything else, just ask.
We’ll ask what’s been going on, any treatment in the past, what’s needed right now and, if you have it, insurance information. Then we’ll talk through the next step, which may be an assessment.
Yes. Guiding Road handles every call and all client information in line with HIPAA privacy rules, whether you’re calling for yourself or for someone you love.
Call anyway. You’ll come away understanding the options and how assessment works, and he’s welcome to call us himself at any point. The decision is his.
Guiding Road doesn’t provide detox on site. If medically supervised detox is needed, we arrange it with outside medical providers before treatment starts. Not sure whether it’s needed? Mention it on the first call and we’ll explain what happens next.
No. You’re invited to speak honestly at your own pace, and nobody has to tell his whole story in group. One-on-one therapy gives you space for the things that are hard to say with other men in the room.
Planning for what comes next is part of treatment: recovery support, the move back to daily life and what continued care looks like. For some families, sessions with the same therapist carry on after the program ends. Ask us what support continues and what it involves.
