Drug Rehab in Scottsdale for Men

A Small Men's Treatment Program That Unites Men Choosing Recovery

Guiding Road offers drug and alcohol rehab in Scottsdale for men, in a small program where everyone involved in a man’s care gets to know him. Men live in a comfortable, thoughtfully furnished home and take part in treatment at the same address. Men can call for themselves. So can the families looking out for them.

PERSONAL ATTENTION

Personal Attention From the Whole Care Team

Guiding Road keeps its program small on purpose. Everyone involved in a man’s care, from the chief executive to the behavioral health technicians, builds a relationship with him, and the leadership team knows each man’s name, story and treatment goals. Care is built around his assessed needs, with room for connection as well as clinical work. The men share meals and take part in group therapy together, so each has people to talk with honestly during treatment.

Who the Scottsdale Location Is For

The Scottsdale home has room for 10 men, who live there while they take part in Guiding Road’s treatment at the same address. Some arrive after residential care in Phoenix, as treatment continues and daily responsibilities begin to return. An assessment comes first. The clinical team then decides which level of care fits each man.

What We Treat

Addiction and Co-Occurring Mental Health Care for Men

Guiding Road treats drug and alcohol use in men, along with the mental health conditions that often occur alongside it. Treatment starts with an assessment, and the plan that follows is built around the man, including what is happening beyond the substance itself.

The therapy itself draws on established approaches: cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and DBT-based skills, delivered in one-on-one sessions and in groups.

Care is overseen by Guiding Road’s Chief Clinical Officer and Medical Director, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner handles medication management. Guiding Road is accredited by The Joint Commission for behavioral health care.

Comfortable Spaces for Rest, Meals and Time Together

For Families

How Families Take Part in Treatment

Family members often make the first call, sometimes before a man is ready to make it himself. Admissions can talk through the drinking or drug use, the treatment options and the support available to the family. A call commits no one to anything.

Once treatment begins, what families hear follows each man’s consent, his clinical team’s recommendations and his privacy.

Comparing Programs

Questions Worth Asking Any Program

Addiction treatment centers in Scottsdale can sound alike on their websites. Clear answers to these questions show how each one actually works, and they make it easier for a family to compare like with like.

  • Where does treatment take place?
  • What are the room arrangements?
  • Who is on the clinical team?
  • How is detox handled?
  • How do updates and consent work?
  • How are insurance benefits checked?

Guiding Road’s admissions team can answer each of these for the Scottsdale location on a call to (480) 588-2328.

Getting Started

From the First Call to Arrival at Scottsdale

Admission at Guiding Road follows three steps, and family members can make the first call. That call is a way to ask questions, not an agreement to start treatment. Admissions explains each step as it comes.

Step 1

Talk With Admissions

A man looking for help, or someone calling about him, describes what has been happening. Admissions explains the options and what would come next.

Step 2

Assessment and Benefits Check

An assessment looks at his needs and which level of care fits. Admissions checks insurance benefits at the same stage.

Step 3

Arrival

Room arrangements are confirmed, and admissions explains what needs to happen before he arrives at the Scottsdale location.

Insurance

Most Private Insurance Plans Accepted

Admissions reviews a plan’s benefits for the care being considered and explains potential out-of-pocket costs before admission, so cost is part of the conversation from the start.

FAQs

Questions About the Scottsdale Location

Is a call to admissions kept private?

Yes. Guiding Road handles calls, and any client information shared on them, under HIPAA privacy rules. That holds whether a man is calling for himself or a family member is calling about someone they love.

No. When detox is needed, Guiding Road coordinates medically supervised detox with outside medical partners before admission. Admissions explains how that works and when a move to Scottsdale can follow.

It depends on his clinical needs and the program schedule, so it is worth raising before admission. Admissions explains the schedule and any limits on phones and laptops, so the family knows what is realistic.

There is no fixed number of days. The length and sequence of care are set by assessment and progress, and admissions can explain what continued support may look like.

Guiding Road builds 12-step work into treatment, and step work is required. Spiritual practices are invitational: morning prayer and meditation, an optional Christian track and weekly off-site church are there for men who want them. Admissions can talk through how that fits different beliefs.
