Karen-Williams
Chief Clinical Officer

Karen Williams, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor
I am independently licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as an LPC and have been in the helping profession for over 15 years. I am the former Clinical Director of Cornerstone Healing Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, and former Intensive Outpatient Manager for Promises Behavioral Health also in Scottsdale. My passion in therapy is Family Systems and healing codependency, and I specialize in treating all forms of addiction including process (behavioral) addiction. I am committed to helping people find their authentic dignity, their true freedom and their true peace through restorative approaches that strengthen mind, body and spirit. I am fully trained in EMDR Therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy and provide a wide range of evidence based clinical interventions supported by empirical research. I am committed to assisting other clinicians establish standards of excellence in their own profession and provide ongoing clinical supervision and support to colleagues in this arena. In 2007, I developed Mantle of Hope – a wellness group for men and women seeking wholeness and healing after the loss of a child from abortion or miscarriage. I have been a therapeutic counselor on Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats, and I currently occupy a counseling role with the International Grief to Grace Program. I hold a board position on Restore Dignity, a Phoenix-based nonprofit healing ministry focused on providing survivors of traumatic events with the support and tools to heal and understand the fullness of dignity they possess in Christ. I am excited about the body of work that I authored and implemented at 2 separate Drug/Rehabilitation Programs: The Common Ground Family Day Program. Common Ground seeks to unite families who have been estranged by addiction and place them on the “common ground” of tolerance, understanding, and love with their loved one in treatment. I hold a master’s degree in professional counseling from Grand Canyon University (2014) and earned my undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 1988. I am a licensee in good standing with the Arizona Board of Health Examiners, a member of the NCE, the NBCC, CatholicTherapists.com, and am credentialed as a clinical supervisor with the AZBBHE. My non-work interests include spending time with my family, traveling, reading, hiking, running, writing, going to Mass and Adoration, and continuing to work on my bucket list items. My forever goal and focus is on Jesus Christ and to honor the path that He has laid before me. My continual desire is to remain in hope and gratitude towards His promises and my persistent commitment is to help those who God sends to me and to make a return in gratitude to God for what has been so graciously given me.
